جلسة حوارية في الديوانية تبحث دور اللجان المحلية في الوقاية من النزاعات وبناء السلام

اتجهت جلسة حوارية في محافظة الديوانية إلى بحث آليات تحويل الخلافات المجتمعية من عوامل تهدد الاستقرار إلى فرص للحوار وبناء التفاهم، مع التركيز على دور اللجان المحلية في الوقاية من النزاعات والتعامل معها بالوسائل السلمية.

وجاءت الجلسة ضمن أنشطة مبادرة السلام المستدام، التي تنفذها منظمة إشراقات للتنمية بدعم من هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة في العراق وتمويل صندوق المرأة للسلام والعمل الإنساني (WPHF)، وخصصت لتطوير قدرات لجان الحوار والتعايش المجتمعي في مجالات بناء السلام، وتسوية النزاعات، ومهارات التفاوض.

وتناول التدريب أهمية امتلاك أعضاء اللجان أدوات عملية تساعدهم على فهم أسباب النزاعات المحلية والتعامل معها بصورة هادئة، إلى جانب تعزيز قدرة القيادات والشخصيات المؤثرة داخل المجتمع على إدارة الخلافات وفتح مسارات للحوار بعيدًا عن التصعيد.

وأدار الجلسة المدرب القدير إياد الميالي، بمشاركة عدد من الشخصيات المجتمعية وأعضاء اللجنة الفرعية المعنية بالتطرف العنيف، فضلًا عن مجموعة من الناشطين المجتمعيين.

وخلال النقاشات، جرى التأكيد على أن النزاعات داخل المجتمعات المحلية لا تقتصر آثارها على الأطراف المباشرة، بل يمكن أن تمتد لتؤثر في تماسك المجتمع ومسارات الاستقرار والتنمية، ولا سيما في البيئات التي تواجه أزمات متراكمة أو تمر بمرحلة من التحولات الاجتماعية.

A community-focused session in Al-Diwaniyah explored practical ways to turn local disputes into opportunities for dialogue and understanding, with particular attention to the role of community committees in preventing conflicts and addressing them through peaceful means.

The session was held as part of the Sustainable Peace Initiative, implemented by Ishraqat Organization for Development, with support from UN Women in Iraq and funding from the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). It focused on strengthening the capacities of community dialogue and coexistence committees in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and negotiation.

The training examined the importance of equipping committee members with practical tools to understand the underlying causes of local conflicts and respond to them constructively. It also highlighted the role of local leaders and influential community figures in managing disagreements, encouraging dialogue, and preventing tensions from escalating.

The session was facilitated by trainer Iyad Al-Mayali and brought together community figures, members of the Sub-Committee on Violent Extremism, and a number of community activists.

Discussions emphasized that conflicts within local communities can have consequences extending beyond the directly involved parties, potentially affecting social cohesion, stability, and development—particularly in communities experiencing complex crises or periods of social transition.

The session concluded by underscoring the importance of strengthening and professionally equipping local dialogue committees to enhance their ability to intervene at an early stage, contain disputes, and contribute to a culture of coexistence and sustainable peace.
