شهدت محافظة المثنى عقد ثالث جلسة حوارية ضمن مشروع "مبادرة السلام المستدام: دور المرأة للوقاية من النزاعات والاستجابة لها"، خُصصت لمناقشة سبل تعزيز دور المرأة في دعم الاستقرار المجتمعي وتوسيع مشاركتها في التأثير على القرارات المحلية ذات الصلة ببناء السلام والوقاية من النزاعات.
ونظمت منظمة إشراقات للتنمية الجلسة في 30 حزيران 2026 تحت عنوان "دعم مشاركة المرأة في منع الصراع والتأثير مع أصحاب القرار المحليين"، وذلك بدعم من هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة في العراق وبتمويل من صندوق المرأة للسلام والعمل الإنساني.
واستعرض المشاركون عدداً من الرؤى التي تناولت أهمية الانتقال من المبادرات النظرية إلى إجراءات عملية تعزز مشاركة النساء في معالجة التحديات المجتمعية، مؤكدين أن إشراك الجهات المحلية المسؤولة في جهود الوقاية من النزاعات يسهم في بناء استجابة أكثر فاعلية للمخاطر المحتملة.
كما ناقشت الجلسة سبل تطوير منظومات الإنذار المبكر من خلال تعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني والقيادات المجتمعية، بما يدعم سرعة الاستجابة للتوترات المحلية، ويعزز الثقة المتبادلة والتماسك الاجتماعي، فضلاً عن ترسيخ ثقافة الحوار باعتبارها أداة لمعالجة الخلافات.
وفي ختام أعمال الجلسة، أوصى المشاركون بتوسيع قنوات التواصل بين صناع القرار والجهات المجتمعية عبر لقاءات دورية ومنتديات حوارية، بما يضمن حضوراً أكبر للمرأة في عمليات التخطيط واتخاذ القرار، ويعزز مساهمتها في إعداد وتنفيذ البرامج التنموية الداعمة للسلام والتنمية المستدامة.
Al-Muthanna Governorate hosted the third dialogue session under the project "Sustainable Peace Initiative: Women's Role in Conflict Prevention and Response," dedicated to discussing ways to strengthen women's role in supporting community stability and expanding their participation in influencing local decision-making related to peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
The session was organized by Ishraqat for Development Organization on 30 June 2026 under the title "Supporting Women's Participation in Conflict Prevention and Influencing Local Decision-Makers." The project is implemented with the support of UN Women Iraq and funded by the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF).
Participants presented a range of perspectives highlighting the importance of moving beyond theoretical initiatives toward practical measures that enhance women's participation in addressing community challenges. They emphasized that engaging local authorities in conflict prevention efforts contributes to building a more effective response to potential risks.
The session also explored ways to strengthen early warning systems by promoting cooperation among government institutions, civil society organizations, and community leaders. Such collaboration was recognized as essential for improving timely responses to local tensions, fostering mutual trust and social cohesion, and promoting a culture of dialogue as a means of addressing disputes.
At the conclusion of the session, participants recommended expanding communication channels between local decision-makers and community stakeholders through regular meetings and dialogue forums. They stressed that these mechanisms would help ensure greater women's participation in planning and decision-making processes while strengthening their role in designing and implementing development programmes that support sustainable peace and development.
