دعت جلسة حوارية نظمتها منظمة إشراقات للتنمية في محافظة المثنى إلى توسيع مشاركة المرأة في جهود منع النزاعات، وتعزيز دورها في التأثير على السياسات والقرارات المحلية، ضمن مشروع "مبادرة السلام المستدام: دور المرأة للوقاية من النزاعات والاستجابة لها"، الذي تنفذه المنظمة بدعم من هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة في العراق وبتمويل من صندوق المرأة للسلام والعمل الإنساني. وأقيمت الجلسة في 29 حزيران 2026 تحت عنوان "دعم مشاركة المرأة في منع الصراع والتأثير مع أصحاب القرار المحليين".
وركزت الحوارات على أهمية تحويل مشاركة المرأة من دور استشاري إلى شراكة فاعلة في الجهود الرامية إلى الحد من النزاعات وتعزيز الاستقرار المجتمعي، من خلال توثيق التعاون مع المؤسسات المحلية وأصحاب القرار، واعتماد آليات أكثر فاعلية لرصد المؤشرات المبكرة التي قد تنذر بحدوث توترات داخل المجتمع.
كما ناقش المشاركون أهمية بناء منظومة تعاون مستدامة تجمع الجهات الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني والقيادات المحلية والشركاء الدوليين، بما يسهم في تحسين الاستجابة للتحديات المجتمعية، ويدعم اتخاذ قرارات تستند إلى احتياجات المجتمعات المحلية، فضلاً عن ترسيخ قيم الحوار والثقة والتماسك الاجتماعي.
وأوصت الجلسة بتفعيل منصات للحوار المنتظم بين الجهات الرسمية ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني والقيادات المجتمعية، لضمان مشاركة النساء في مناقشة القضايا المحلية والإسهام في صنع القرار، إضافة إلى إشراكهن في إعداد وتنفيذ الخطط التنموية التي تراعي مخاطر النزاعات وتسهم في تحقيق السلام والتنمية المستدامة.
A dialogue session organized by Ishraqat for Development in Al-Muthanna Governorate called for expanding women's participation in conflict prevention efforts and strengthening their role in influencing local policies and decision-making. The session was held as part of the "Sustainable Peace Initiative: Women's Role in Conflict Prevention and Response" project, implemented by the organization with the support of UN Women Iraq and funded by the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). The event took place on 29 June 2026 under the title "Supporting Women's Participation in Conflict Prevention and Influencing Local Decision-Makers."
The discussions emphasized the importance of moving women's participation beyond a consultative role toward becoming active partners in efforts to prevent conflict and promote community stability. Participants highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation with local institutions and decision-makers, while adopting more effective early warning mechanisms to identify indicators of potential community tensions.
Participants also discussed the importance of establishing a sustainable cooperation framework that brings together government institutions, civil society organizations, local leaders, and international partners. Such collaboration would enhance responses to community challenges, support decision-making based on local needs, and reinforce the values of dialogue, trust, and social cohesion.
The session concluded with recommendations to establish regular dialogue platforms that bring together government representatives, civil society organizations, and community leaders to ensure women's meaningful participation in discussions on local issues and decision-making processes. Participants also called for involving women in the development and implementation of conflict-sensitive development plans that contribute to sustainable peace and community development.
