"مبادرة التوعية بالتنمية المستدامة وأهدافها" في مديرية شباب ورياضة المثنى

The Ishraqat Development Organization (IDO), in cooperation and coordination with the Al-Muthanna Youth and Sports Directorate, implemented a voluntary initiative entitled “Awareness Initiative on Sustainable Development and Its Goals”, aimed at promoting knowledge of sustainable development concepts and objectives and enhancing awareness of them among government institutions.

The seminar, held on 22 June 2026, was attended by 20 employees from the Directorate and youth forums. This initiative comes as part of the organization's efforts to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Iraq Vision 2030, while strengthening institutional partnerships with government entities to provide continuous knowledge support and capacity-building across various development sectors.

The seminar covered several key topics, including the concept of sustainable development, its components and dimensions, as well as an overview of the 17 global Sustainable Development Goals, explaining their content and importance in achieving comprehensive development. The seminar was facilitated by the organization's President, Thaer Al-Abadi.

At the conclusion of the event, the organization expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the Al-Muthanna Youth and Sports Directorate, represented by its Director, Falah Shiyal, commending their ongoing cooperation in implementing awareness-raising and educational initiatives and activities that contribute to spreading the culture of sustainable development and enhancing community awareness of its goals.
