منظمة إشراقات للتنمية تختتم ورشة في الديوانية لتعزيز الشراكات وبناء القدرات في مجال السلام ومكافحة التطرف

Ishraqat for Development Organization concludes a workshop in Al-Diwaniyah aimed at strengthening partnerships and building capacities in the fields of peacebuilding and countering extremism.

As part of its ongoing activities aimed at supporting community stability and strengthening the role of local actors in addressing conflicts, Ishraqat for Development Organization organized a training workshop in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate within the framework of the “Sustainable Peace Initiative: The Role of Women in Conflict Prevention and Response.”

The workshop was held in the city of Al-Diwaniyah at Kahrmana Hall from 5 to 7 December 2025, with the participation of fifteen representatives from women’s organizations and youth-led organizations, including eight women and seven men.

The training program focused on enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills in the areas of peacebuilding, countering extremism, negotiation methods, and conflict resolution, in addition to networking, implementing advocacy campaigns, monitoring, and report writing. The training also included dedicated sessions on building relationships and partnerships among individuals and organizations to exchange expertise and information, and to strengthen collaborative action in addressing community challenges, particularly extremism.

The workshop featured practical sessions and group discussions that enabled participants to work in teams and present their outputs to the audience, contributing to the consolidation of concepts of cooperation and coordination and opening new avenues for integration among local initiatives.

The implementation of this workshop comes within the framework of the Sustainable Peace Initiative project carried out by Ishraqat for Development Organization, with the support of UN Women and the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund, as part of efforts to support the participation of women and youth in conflict prevention, promote community peace, and build effective networks that contribute to achieving stability at the local level.
