في الشافعية... منظمة إشراقات للتنمية تواصل حملتها البيئية وتسلّط الضوء على الزراعة الذكية بدعم سويسري
ضمن خطواتها المستمرة نحو نشر الوعي البيئي وتعزيز ممارسات الزراعة الذكية مناخياً، نفّذت منظمة إشراقات للتنمية، وبدعم من السفارة السويسرية في العراق، الجلسة التوعوية الثالثة حول "الثقافة البيئية والزراعة الذكية مناخياً"، وذلك في قضاء الشافعية بمحافظة الديوانية، ضمن مشروعها "معاً من أجل بيئة مستدامة"، الذي يستهدف محافظتي المثنى والديوانية.
الجلسة التي خُصّصت لفئة المزارعين في القضاء، نُفذت بالتعاون مع مديرية زراعة الديوانية، وأدارها المهندس علي كريم، مسؤول قسم التخطيط والمتابعة، حيث ناقش المشاركون أبرز القضايا البيئية المعاصرة، وفي مقدّمتها تغير المناخ، وتلوث الهواء والمياه، كمدخل ضروري لفهم التحديات البيئية وتأثيراتها على القطاع الزراعي.
وسلطت الجلسة الضوء على الزراعة الذكية مناخياً، بوصفها حلاً مستداماً يعزز من كفاءة الموارد، ويحقق نتائج ملموسة في تحسين الإنتاج البستاني والزراعي، فضلاً عن دعم حصول المجتمعات المحلية على منتجات زراعية آمنة، صحية، وعالية القيمة الغذائية.
In Al-Shafiyah... Ishraqat for Development Continues Its Environmental Campaign and Highlights Climate-Smart Agriculture with Swiss Support
As part of its ongoing efforts to raise environmental awareness and promote climate-smart agricultural practices, Ishraqat for Development Organization, with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Iraq, held its third awareness session on “Environmental Culture and Climate-Smart Agriculture” in Al-Shafi’iyah District, Al-Diwaniyah Governorate. The session was organized within the framework of the organization’s project, “Together for a Sustainable Environment,” which targets the governorates of Al-Muthanna and Al-Diwaniyah.
The session, which focused on local farmers in the district, was conducted in collaboration with the Al-Diwaniyah Directorate of Agriculture and was led by Engineer Ali Kareem, Head of the Planning and Follow-Up Department. Participants engaged in discussions on major contemporary environmental issues, notably climate change, air pollution, and water contamination, as an essential entry point for understanding environmental challenges and their impact on the agricultural sector.
The session also highlighted climate-smart agriculture as a sustainable solution that enhances resource efficiency and delivers tangible improvements in horticultural and agricultural productivity, while supporting local communities in accessing safe, healthy, and high-nutritional-value agricultural products.
